After a long career in exporting, Mike Stokes started his own export consultancy business at the beginning of 2004. To raise his profile he joined the local business networking circuit and quickly discovered that the group which most helped him to develop as a new business owner was The Business Club in Peterborough. Mike enjoyed the support offered by other members and always took useful lessons away from the guest speakers.
After several years on the networking circuit, with arguably the largest contact database in Lincolnshire, Mike bought the Lincolnshire franchise of The Business Club in 2009. From a standing start the Club soon established itself on the Lincolnshire business circuit, while Mike admits that growing the Club has been the most enjoyable challenge of his working life.
